Since 1936, the MIDWEST FEDERATION OF AMERICAN,
SYRIAN-LEBANESE CLUBS, INC., has been an influential organization to
socially network individuals and families who are of Middle Eastern
origin or descent. The strength of the Midwest Federation lies in its
'local' member clubs. These clubs are found throughout the Midwest, in
Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan,
Minnesota, and Kansas.
Who are we, what do we stand for, and what do we do?
The Midwest Federation By-Laws, Article II. Purpose, states...
"The purpose of the Federation shall be charitable, literary,
educational, and fraternal, in a domestic fraternal organization. The
Federation shall devote its energies to the general welfare of its
members.
Our charitable giving is to selected charities, through the advice and
consent of our membership. Our literary goals are to assist in the
publication and dissemination of information concerning the activities
of our people. Our educational goals include inspiring and training our
young men and women in the qualities and elements of leadership, and to
assist them with financial support through scholarships.
Our social emphasis is accomplished firstly, through local club meetings
(typically held monthly); secondly, through Federation board meetings
(held twice a year), and finally and most significantly through our
Annual Convention.
The Midwest Federation is a NON-PROFIT, NON-POLITICAL, organization
which dedicated to uniting people of Middle-Eastern descent to celebrate
our rich ancestry and history. We strive to preserve our traditions and
to provide a meeting place where we can enjoy to company of others of
our ethnic family.
If you are not currently a member of a local club, or an individual
member of the Midwest Federation, and are interested in becoming a
member, there are additional links on this page for your use and
