Meet the scholarship recipient: Danielle Bellone

Fun fact: She has lived in 6 different places throughout the world and United States throughout her lifetime so far, and is the granddaughter of past president George F. Khoury.

After completing her Associate Degree at NOVA Community College, Danielle will be transferring to Oakland University in Michigan to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences. She has been active in her Antiochian Orthodox Church, serving as president of her parish Society of Orthodox Youth (SOYO). Her volunteer efforts include Christmas caroling for the elderly in nursing homes and raising funds for Special Olympics, orphanages in the Middle East, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She now assists children with special needs as an Applied Behavior Analysis therapist. Her supervisor says, “Danielle has shown dedication, reliability and a positive attitude while connecting with clients and colleagues.”
