Her love of service to others is demonstrated by her cooking, cleaning, and serving the poor at the North End Soup Kitchen and at Catholic Charities USA. She regularly visits the elderly and disabled at local nursing homes, and she serves as a Eucharistic Minister in her parish church. An early example of her concern for others was evident at her 7th birthday party when , in lieu of receiving gifts, she asked her party guests to make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Her lifelong passion for service and helping others has led her to pursue a Nursing degree while studying at the University of Michigan-Flint. Her school president states: “Eva is a wonderful young lady eager and ready to take on the challenges of what college and life in general have to offer. She maintains high standards for herself and is a responsible, accountable and trustworthy person who can always be counted on.”
