Meet the scholarship recipient: Georgette (Gigi) Haddad

Fun fact: She is in a dabke troupe, and she is the granddaughter of past MFASLC presidents Emil and Jackie Haddad.

Gigi, a straight-A student, graduates from Waubonsie Valley High School with a weighted grade point average of 4.2857. She has been recognized as both an Illinois State Scholar and an Indian Prairie Scholar. An avid musician, she plays the clarinet and piano, and is a member of the marching band and pep band. She also participated in Tri-M, a music honors society. This provided her the opportunity to perform in benefit recitals and to raise monies for schools that could not afford musical instruments. She served as Vice President of the Maronite Youth Organization in her parish, assisting at festivals and other church events. She will major in Psychology at Loyola University Chicago, with a goal of becoming a psychologist or psychiatrist.
