An honors graduate from Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois, Maria will be entering her junior year at the University of Dayton where she is a Communications major concentrating in Public Relations. Her passion for music continues in college where she co-founded The Flying Solos, the first all-female a capella group at Dayton.
A respected student-leader, she hosts her own weekly radio show, “Motivational Mondays with Maria.” She is an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha at The University of Dayton, serving as a member of the sorority’s Judicial Committee.

Her numerous service activities include volunteering for ALSAC and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as well as Loaves & Fishes and Feed my starving My Starving Children. A college professor writes: “Maria knows how to relate to other people and is open for learning and new perspectives. She readily shares her opinions with others and is not fearful of standing up for her beliefs.”
