Meet the scholarship recipient: Michael Romzek

Michael graduates from Powers Catholic High School with a weighted grade point average of 4.27.

Included in his course work were 7 Advanced Placement classes and dual-enrollment courses through the University of Michigan-Flint and Mott Community College. This will allow him to begin his studies at Michigan State University with up to 53 college credits earned. He will major in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace. This will lead to his pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. His sights are set on researching, designing, and producing spacecraft. In high school, Michael was a member of the National Honor Society, Rotary Interact, the Baking Club and a varsity letter winner in baseball and football.

His AP Physics teacher writes: “Michael is a wonderful young man who is full of potential and has already demonstrated key attributes to be successful. Simply stated, he is one of the best young men I have ever taught.”
